Imagining our game

Today we are all blogging about Imagining our game.  Me and my partener luckily already decided what we wanted to create our game about. We are going to create our game about the mount hope fire. We decided this the day after we got partners. We also have to make sure we don't make a quiz game. A quiz game isnt allowed in globaloria.  Everyone sems to know or at least have an idea of what they want their game to be about. Guess what, i'm not wearing eyeliner!*tear*  I need to update my learning log for today.byee

Playing to learn

Today we are blogging about playing to learn. We are learning what our games are going to be about and what criterias our game must reach. The 8th grade games all have to be about west virginia history. Me and  my partner are for sure that we are going to make a game about  mount hope fire that happened on March 24, 1901. The fire happened in this  month also, i just realised that. Here is a link to Mount Hope Fire Facts. this website has helped me and my partner out alot, to get information so we can learn about our game topic. This year, our game isnt as hard as last year because we learned everything last year. update on me and my partner also, we are doing great. I am so glad we are partneres.

New year in Globaloria

 

Hey everyone! Summer has ended and we are back in school and Globaloria. This year, everyone in globaloria is getting new partners, new game topics, and a chance to make a new game.  we get to redo out pages and make them creative. ive changed alot since last year so i need to put things on my page that suites me now. I've started to wear more black, more eyeliner, more neon colors, and i've started to listen to different music. I am so thankful to be in Globaloria this year. There is no other class i

                                                                    would want to be in more. i love being in Globaloria and I'm glad i got chosen to be in this class.

 

Globaloria So Far

 Globaloria has been fun so far. Although, I haven't likeed doing the minigame template stuff. We as 8th graders done it our 7th grade year and we should use that time to start working on our game since it was hard to finish our games last year, but i have still had much fun already.  I just haven't liked making blogs but it is a must so I type my blogs without complaining. I have forgot to do a day or two on my learning log but I have went and fixed those days. I have to fix my blogs but i plan to fix them later tonight. I have enjoyed being partnered with one of my best friends, alyson Christian. Me and her are going to try to make a great game and have fun with it, instead of being uptight about our game.  We are going to try our best. A single Story

1. What does it mean to have a 'single story' about a place or community? It means a story about a place that makes ppl thing one way toward people in that place.
2. Describe a single story you have heard told about your community. What is missing from that story? How could people learn more about that community? You can show them what it is realy like.

4. How could a game let players experience many stories about a place or community? You can make your game about the community.

     I am so happy to be back in globaloria! I have missed it dearly over the summer. It is one of my favorite classes and it will help me will technology when i get older. It is a ver important class for all schools and i think all schools should have it. It will help when we go to high school also. i have mised it because it is such a fun class.
